Oh and it can't be rushed out. At least 50 hours of quality gameplay that I would deeply cheerish afterwards for the wonderful memories. I find modern games more focused on action and graphics over unique experience with original plot.
There are tons out there that I've been blessed to experience over the last 22 years and I'll gladly share later on this thread. You are welcome to add games for older consoles like PSX, PS2 and Dreamcast. I never bought any other console after I got my PC despite playing most console games prior, but I had my reasons.

Planescape: Torment has a superb plot, with excellent writting, and it will stay with you for years. It plays more like a adventure game, than a RPG. Once you play it, you'll understand the depth of what can change the nature of a man. Can be completed in about 40, maybe 45 hours.
NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer has the best plot of this generation, by far, and with a camera mod, it'll play well. It's about 20, 25 hours long.Â
To The Moon has a wonderful, heart warming plot, although the writting is below average and the puzzles are simplistic, it is a perfect adventure game for people that don't like challenging puzzles. It's also about 4 hours long, the pace is allright.
Xenogears has the best character depth of all console games, though if you have a psychology degree, or any sort of knowledge about this, you won't like the plot. Thankfully i don't, so i absolutely loved the plot. This game is over 60 hours long.Â
