so my computer was really cluttered and I did a fresh install of windows, and now valve locked me out of steam, I emailed the support, but not from others I'm hearing it could take them weeks to get back to me,, what the hell, weeks? all I need is that stupid code to log in, but it is not emailing it to me(no it's no in my spam folder, it's not in any folder). Ugh now I just wait while all the great deals pass me by, I guess I could ask my friends to let me use their accounts to gift games I want to get to myself. Anyways, has anyone else had this happen to them?

I've never had them take more than a couple of days, sometimes even less than 24hrs to get back with you. During steam sale it might take a little longer but I wouldn't be surprised if you hear from them in the next couple of hours, or maybe sometime tomorrow.

Hve you tried to see if you have the emails in any other email address? Really dont want to make youfeel stupid. :)

I get the same thing as i format my computer once a year. But each time the code is normally just sent straight to my email...

I have checked all of my 3 emails, nothing. In one of them I can even see past email verification sent to me in the old mailbox from a little over a month ago, so I know it should be coming to this email. Ugh, oh well I guess, I don't think there is anything I can do but wait it out now. I hope it doesn't take too long, driving me crazy.

I don't know how long you've waited but I remember that it took a few hours for me to get my code e-mailed when I activated my account on a new laptop. Usually it's instant but this one time it took long. Just to give you some new hope if you havn't waited that long. And use the resend code service if you havn't just to be sure (though I suspect you have).

It's simply a matter of them being overloaded with requests right now. I bet you'll see it in a couple of hours. A similar thing happened to me during last year's sale and it took a few hours to get the email.
