... a new game. I just left WoW and I need something that's single-player and doesn't require you to be online so I need some suggestions. To be honest, I'd like something similar to WoW, so it'd have to be on the PC and be a fantasy RPG where you level and attain gear based on quests and boss/creep kills; pretty much an offline/single-player version of WoW. I just don't want to deal with the competition of MMOs and the limited to no flexibility of raiding. I've been looking around and haven't really seen much that really caught my eye. I like to be able to customize based on race and class. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it!

Reading that last part of your post makes me think of The Elder Scrolls RPGs like TES: Morrowind and TES: Oblivion. The Witcher is awesome but it doesn't have a variety of gear to find/loot and you're stuck with one very bad-ass character.

Wasn't the plug pulled already on Hellgate? I mean it's an MMORPG that failed. I guess it has an offline single-player w/c might do it for the TS. I got bored of it pretty fast.
yeah it has but when it comes to killing enemies like crazy in order to level up, and respawning exactly where you are instead of loading save game.dakan45
Hellgate is fun for about an hour, then the novelty of a first-person game with Diablo 2-like classes wears off and you're left with a repetitive, empty game with almost no incentive to progress.
TC, if you have a PSP i recommend the latest Monster Hunter. Nothing else has made me feel more like I'm playing an offline MMO. If you don't, well, I guess your best bet is the Gothic or TES games.
