I'm not looking for a computer that can run Crysis at highest settings perfectly, but rather one that at least can run it at medium/high with minimum problems. Unfortunately, I really only have $2,500 to spend on it (and building is out of the question for me). So, does anybody know of a PC in this price range that will give me a lot of bang for my buck?

I know very little about PCs to be honest (except how to play games on them :P), so I very well might be asking for something impossible. But, any help is appreciated. Thanks!

you do know that you could just buy the parts yourself then pay someone $50 to build it for you, all you would have to do is just install the programs. oh and rofl sonce when was $2,500 not a lot of money.

http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/store/configurator.aspx?mid=205

the above is an okay site, but you would really save money if you just built it yourself. oh and that doens't come with a monitor, here is one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824002355

oh and this system should max anything thrown in its way, and it should run crysis really well. this is a very high end computer.

Ok, first off don't ever buy from ibuypower. Second of all, 2500 dollars is a great budget and you can probably get a great rig for that amount of money. If you aren't willing to build it yourself, I am going to go ahead and recommend a dell/hp/alienware/voodoo/falcon or any other mainstream manufacturer that has a line of "gaming" pcs

But what's wrong withIBuyPower? It looks actually like a pretty good company to me, and that's pretty cheap for a high-end gaming computer, especially considering that it has a GeForce 8800 Ultra.

One concern I did have, though: Will that motherboard(eVGA NForce 680i SLI Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0 Dual PCI-E MB) and processor ([=== Quad Core ===] Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 (4x 2.4GHz/8MB L2 Cache/1066FSB)) and my 2GB of ram be enough to handle a game like Crysis? Again, I know little about computers, and I'm really only asking since these were 3 of the few things that weren't put at the maximum price. Thanks!

And do you have any specific suggestions for a mainstream brand of PCs? Again, I really don't have much experience with this stuff.

At the very least, you can price out a decent Dell Inspiron XPS 720 (including monitor) for that amount. Go to Dell.com and price out to suit your tastes and budget. My only concrete recommendations are getting the Quad-core 6600 processor and the 8800GT video card.

Be smart and do what I did.

Buy parts invididually (SOOOO much cheaper), then go to a shop and give them $50 to make it for you. There you have an amazing computer right there. And for 2500... man you could have almost everything top of the line.

A little off topic here but your PC isnt primarily used for gaming.I mean you have everything top of the line and then go with cheaper GPU's.Seriously why would you not get the 8800GT.
