I'm looking for a fun multiplayer browser game -- any genre but sports.

I already play Quake Live like a nut.

I'm about to make a Kingdom of Loathing account.

I've left RuneScape due to the sheer number of bots in the game. Until Jagex fixes it, they won't get my business.

Travian looks interesting -- I might give it a shot.

Any suggestions? :)

If you have a tendency to play a game multiple hours or several times a day, games like Travian or tick-based browser games will not appeal to you. You could try Kingdom of Loathing or Ogame if you're still curious though.

I was gonna recommend you Tibia but then I saw you left Runescape because of bots and in that case I simply cannot recommend it.

And because it's not browser based yet, their web browser client is only in beta...

So I got nothing.

I'd recommend Urban Terror, it's an ioquake3 engine based FPS and it is like CS (in realism) but with more action (TDM is more typical than survival, and you can walljump, powerslide etc...). The only problem that ioquake3 doesn't come with Punkbuster, so you only want to play on well moderated servers. You might want to give a try to League of Legends too. It's a team-based PvP RPG, based on DotA (a Warcraft 3 mod with quite high reputation), and it looks identical to War3. It's free but unfortunately there's also micro-payment in it... Another one is Larkinor, a browser-based turn-based RPG with funny lines in it. (I never played KoL, but as I googled the pictures, the two looked pretty similar.) Larkinor doesn't seem too popular these days, but this is lowering the chance of running into bots (in case there is any). Anyway, I think the next big shoot will be Age of Empires Online, it seems it will feature micro-payment, and I'm looking forward to it pretty much.

I play Urban Terror quite a bit, along with Quake Live. I tried League of Legends and HoN, but the MOBA genre just doesn't appeal to me.
