Hi, I am having difficulty choosing a monitor. The only games I play on PC are SC2 and I may also play Diablo 3. Other than that I will be doing work on my PC- mainly word, excel, and statistical software. I want the monitor to have tilt and do NOT want it to have sound. I would like it to be 23-24 inches and 1920x1080. Anything come to mind? Thanks.

With current prices there is no good reason not to buy something with an IPS panel.

Ok, here are some I am thinking of. They are all IPS monitors. What do you think?

Viewsonic VX2336S

Viewsonic UP2365WB

ASUS VS229H-P(May be too small at 21.5")

NEC EA232WMI-BK

LG IPS231P-BN

LG IPS236V

Well it all comes down to budget and features (like inputs). Most of those probably have the same panel.

If my assumption that you are in the Boston area is correct (based on your Handle), you might consider heading over to Microcenter in Cambridge (across from the Trader Joe's) to see what they've got in stock. You can often get a pretty good deal there. I can't recommend a monitor, myself. I just buy the resolution and size I want that's well-rated at a good price. Happy gaming, Boz

Thanks for the input. I did check out microcenter recently but not too much going on. Great place though.
