Looking for a good RTS game?

Hey

I am currently looking for a good RTS game like ceaser 3 or Stronghold, like gather supplies and administer your economy and batter supplies, and dont forget war:D I dont care if it is a old or new game or if the graphics are dull as long as the gameplays good, so give me your best shoot;)

PS. The time-line i would prefer is the middle ages or Romen empire time.

I heard Anno was good

Also might want to check out Sins of a Solar Empire

Try Rome: total war. Can never go wrong with a total war game :P

Not sure if you are looking for something like it, but my favourite RTS game is Age of mythology :D

If you want a more conventional series that could still fit the bill, check out the second to fourth games in the Total War series.

If you want something with a more traditional approach... there's the "Age of" series by Ensemble.

hey why dont u give Empire Earth 1 a try ?

People listed one game that is like caesar 3 or stronghold...

You can try a few different things. There's Zeus, Pharaoh, Stronghold 2, Settlers Series

Also,check out Galactic civilizations 2,the Total war series,Supreme comander,Act of war.

And I understand you look for RTS,but in the strategy games universe for me it´s hard not to recomend the Hearts of Iron and Europa universalis games,they are superb.

Those kind of games are like dead nowadays. No one is developing next-generation behemoth like those sadly. It's mostly overloaded with pure-combat RTS or just too sci-fi-ish games.

Starcraft + Expansion, Warcraft 3 + expansion, Company of Heroes, and World in Conflict.

I know this isn't like them games but I loved Supreme Commander because it's just so fun building your base and armies.

You should go with Sins of a Solar Empire

Like WDT-BlackKAT said, Try the Anno series, namely the recent Anno 1404,
it's about the closest you're gonna get from what your asking (within the recent year), The game play is great as is it's graphics.
