Looking for a group of PC gamers to befriend

My name is ArEsTus. That's all I go by. My real information doesn't really matter. I am looking for a group of people who are mature. And at least Sixteen and up. Sixteen being  the lowest. But I prefer eighteen and up. My about me and recent blog rant describes anything I may miss out here. I play steam games. I love half life 2 mods. Garrysmod specifically. I will play any free mod anybody suggests. A list of games I have are on my about me. I will make a more complete version in the future. But I am looking for a special type of group. Political dealings do not matter. But I'm looking for an accepting group of people to **** around with. People who are mature enough to understand certain topics in the media and can be relatively knowledgable. PLEASE if you are conceited I am not the person to congregate with. I'll just end up getting in an argument about why you don't matter any more than anyone else. And most important I'm looking for a group to HAVE FUN WITH!!!! Games are not my life so I just want to have fun while playing them. I want people serious if we're doing something like playing a roleplay map on garrysmod or whatever. But I'm up to play anything. Please respond if your tired of the same bullshit in every group you join and you don't care about the politics or whose better at what and you just want fun.

Just a bump. Im very intersted in building a very friendly and relaxed community of at least four or five. I have a microphone and webcam (although webcams arent that important) Fraps if anybody wnats to make videos and apps like skype, mumble, Dolby axon team speak and ventrillo. Have you ever tried a web search on "multi-gaming guilds"? Many of these guilds have websites where you can learn about them. If you aren't having luck on this forum, I would suggest doing it.

I am not, but thank you a lot :D I am having some difficulty. I've made three accounts on different websitse today. Im not looking for a clan per-say. But I will try to grab a few friends from them.

Someone should just set up a steam group if one doesnt already exist. Aside from chat rooms, you basically have your own forum.

There is less socializing in a steam group.  A skype group is just like a forum as well, but with more and better features.  From my experience, steam groups never have a solid close bond between members.  Sounds to me like you've never used skype honestly.  Our group only uses voice call when we are all in-game and in a party, the rest of our time is spent chatting away through typing.  Voice calls for gaming purposes makes gaming more fun and more efficient when trying to strategize.  Typing in-game is so 1999.  But hey, if it is your preference to not speak, I guess different strokes for different folks.

xfire has clans for a lot of games. I haven't used xfire in a couple of years, though...superclocked

I used to use xfire myself, but like you, i stopped using it a few years ago.

It's not based on WHAT games I have. It's based on the type of person. Trying to find a few people who can play a game and cant stop laughing with me minus drama.

And you think you have a better chance finding that through an online form, rather than organically through steam?
