I have narrowed my choice down to a Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset or Turtle Beach Earforce X1 Headphones. I'm unsure of which one to get, also if i use this with the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset to connect it to the microphone spot on the xbox 360 controler will I be able to use the microphone on it.

I dont know anything about the Fatality one. I know Turtle Beach makes a pretty solid head phone. I have a couple of friends that have em and they enjoy them. The mic works fine. I own the AX360 by Tritton Tech, they're decent.

I already have an adapter for the audio cord for the Fatality one, but I was wondering if I use that adapter to connect the microphone cord to the 360 controller will the mic work.

That adapter just changes the socket size, don't 360s use SPDIF or coaxal or am i thinking of PS3?
