Unless you have an AM3+ motherboard, you cant get a FX cpu. You can get a Phenom 2 X4 955/965,

I would get a FX 4300 or FX 6300 because they are the newer architecture. Also make sure you update your bios before getting the the cpu.

Ā

Why? Ā You should be able to find that CPU for under $110, if we're talking US dollars. Ā  Ā

Ā

Why do you want that CPU? Ā Don't get me wrong.. Ā Phenom II X4's are decent gaming CPUs and outstanding for the price that you normally pay. Ā The problem is that it's a 3 year-old CPU. Ā I think you're much better off paying $130-140 for an FX-6300 than anything over $100 for a Phenom II X4. Ā

Ā

i suggest scrapping that build, pick up a 1155 mobo plus a pentium processor for cheap and you will see a boost in your gaming performance, no joke.
