the GPU is the problem

ive been looking to upgrade to nvidia, either the geforce gts 250 512mb or the geforce 9800 gtx. im just slightly concerned whether my rig would be able to handle it i.e PSU, motherboard.

cookies for anyone who can help, with graphics cards or even telling me what my comp with its new GPU would run. ciao

The amp ratings as well as the wattage, just post a picture if you can.

You need to find your PSU specs, or find the PSU model number and then you should be able to look it up. Once you know what kind of psu you have, you will know what level of GPU you can handle, or if you want to upgrade your psu you can do that.

It's the power rating sticker on the power supply. The power supply is the box that you plug the power cord into. Post a picture of the sticker located on the power supply if you can.
