Looking for a new rpg to play.

Looking to get another rpg just not sure what to get. Haven't played many, just finished the witcher and dragon age orgins. Not looking to pay full price for any of the newer games. Was thinking about trying risen. What games would you guys recommend? Thanks.

It's also one of the best games I've ever played.

If you buy, make sure you install the unofficial patches to get the best possible experience.

Did you play the first and second Witcher, or just one of them?

They both seem worth playing.

Only played the first witcher.

Gothic 2 (and 3 if you slap some patchs on it)

I am also looking into some RPG's (multiplayer however), such as Guild Wars, Titan Quest, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2.

As for the ones i have played and what I can reccomend, are:

Diablo (it has aged, but it is very atmospheric and immersive)

Diablo II (Best persistant online RPG I have ever played and pretty much the king of them. Never played a game more than this one)

Minecraft (I know this isnt really an RPG lol, but it sort of has a similar addiction to it IMO. Of course this is probably nothing like what you are looking for)

Mass Effect (awesome game with some serious issues. Still, definitely worth a purchase)

Mass Effect 2 (More polished then 1, but IMO lacks some things that made 1 great.)

Hellgate: London (this is entirely free now, as it was rereleased very recently by a new company that bought the rights to it. It has its issues no doubt, but it is fun if you can get past that)

Darksiders (This is more of an action adventure than it is an RPG, but still it has some elements that make it feel a bit like an RPG, and I think it is an undeappreciated game. The second one has even more RPG elements and looks phenomenal so far)
