Looking for a non-WoW MMO

Well I've gotten kind of bored with World of Warcraft, but I still want to play an MMO. The only other MMOs I've really played are Warhammer and Everquest Ruins of Kunark. I've been considering planetside, but I don't know if there's really level versus just getting a huge number of people to kill each other. I'm looking to hear from you guys who've played some other MMOs (particularly LOTRO) because I'm desparately seeking a new MMO fix :D

its incredibly slow and has no objective.Its fun to explore in, thats about it.

Warhammer was fun for a while, but I got kinda bored with it quickly. I mean if I find reasons enough why it's better than LOTRO and its expansion, or any other MMO right now I'll probably go back to Warhammer... But, I'm really not all too interested in warhammer...

Darkfall does intruige me, but I don't know. Both GS and IGN have TBA2009 for release dates. I checked the site to no avail, but they do have the beta up, so that must mean that the game should be coming out within a couple months (at the latest). Can you tell me a little more about darkfall?

Yeah, my friend from school played eve online a lot, it was weird, I watched him play for a while, it wasn't really my kind of thing, I want some more dungeon running and PvP action etc. Also preferably set in old fantasy worldy times :D (I mean aside from planetside)
