Hi,

I'm going to upgrade from an ATI Radeon X1900XT, which is insanely loud. I want a reasonably quiet gpu.

Any recommendations? Preferably under 250 USD.

Thanks.

Thanks, but I found a review of it which stated "The cooler on this card is the standard reference cooler and if you have any doubt just turn the fan speed past 50% and you are greeted with the sound that closely resembles that of the wife's hair dryer.". Is it safe to have the cards fan under 50%?

Wou can get a good price on that 4770. It runs cool and quiet.

Off topic, did you know Hipro broke a 1000mhz 3dmark stable core clock on that MSI GTX260 lightning?

How about a Vapor-X HD 4870 or 4890? Both are excellent cards with a quiet cooler.
