Any Sci-fi RPGs out? I know of Mass Effect 1 and 2, as well as KOTOR and KOTOR 2...I have those. I have all the Bioware games.

Not looking for a MMO either. And not really looking for a horror game either. Though it can have "creepy" parts to it. I liked STALKER which had a nice creepy atmosphere to it. I played that game to death too. A sci-fi FPS would be fine too. But I'm a lot more picky with FPS games than RPGs. Closest I guess to liking a FPS game is STALKER. I also liked Tribes and Starsiege from way back when. Not interested in Global Agenda by the way, didn't really hook me. I already have Crysis as well, but I actually didn't really like it.

I'm not big into modern games either, like Call of Duty and such. Those aren't really Sci-fi anyway. I know of that futuristic battlefield game I think it was, I couldn't get into that.

I'm more looking for a game that has an awesome singleplayer in it, since I don't want to play multiplayer. So that takes out Borderlands (which is boring just by yourself, at least I found it boring).

Are there any other ones out? I want something to play till Fallout New Vegas is out (I've pre-ordered it). I've already played Fallout 2 and 3 to death. Looking for something else. So a long singleplayer campaign would be nice, or a game long enough to last me till FO:NV...the main "quest" doesn't need to be long. Oblivion I played for hundreds of hours, because all I mostly did was explore and do the sidequest stuff.

I know of X3, but that game is a bit (understatement) hardcore for me. And it would take longer to figure the game out than before I would get FO:NV

Thanks :)

Although it isn't that great, you may find SOME enjoyment out of Space Siege.

A good sci-fi fps (imo) is star wars republic commando however I do agree that Deus Ex and System shock 2 are definitely worth looking at. You could also try metro 2033 or fallout 3 if you can't played those.

I'll add Dead Space to these.

I found it to have one of the most believable sci-fi setting and story in a video game.

Dead Space, Metro 2033, Quake 4, Red Faction Guerilla. All of these are good in their own right. Also, if you haven't played all the Stalkers, the newest one is really good. Not too many newer sci-fi RPGs such as Mass Effect that I know of.

It seems like you already have great games. Other then new Deus Ex not many games are being described to your liking.

I would actually recommend Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. It's 2002 I believe but still fantastic atmosphere.

No problem mate, majority of Sci-Fi/Fantasy Rpg's are MMO's.

I personally love sci-fi but there aren't many games out there. New Deus Ex should be fantastic.

I do have one more game I really enjoyed on PC I can recommend, even thou it's older it's still scary and intense: Aliens Versus Predator 2 - http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/aliensversuspredator2/index.html

I lost many hours with that one back in the days.

Edit: Bioshock is a must have by the way in case you don't have it. :)

+1. I'm playing through it and I'm loving it so far. It's not futuristic and I'm not sure if it's considered Sci-fi, but it's still a great game. And if haven't yet, maybe the Half-Life 2 games, and Portal.

It's not Sci-Fi, but you could try, "Mount and Blade: Warband". You did mention Oblivion, so it's possible that the battles system and role play will suck you in. As for FPS, the first F.E.A.R, is still one of my favorite. Although, the game hate's my Live! Sound Blaster card.... constant popping noises. Have to use the on-board sound, whenever I replay that game. I like the original Left 4 Dead, but you said you don't like Multi-player. Although, I have to add that I don't like the typical MP game play either. But, I do enjoy playing Left 4 Dead, with 3 random strangers/friends. It's different than your average MP game, because you're not punished for holding still and aiming. As in, AI zombies can't shoot you in the head for an instant kill.

Deadspace
Bioshock 1 and 2
Crysis and addon
Metro 2033
Fear 1, 2 and add on
Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy
Halo 1 and 2
Tron 2.0
Lost Planet

Since you mentioned X3:

Freespace (all of them)
Freelancer
Independence War 2

Although not Sci Fi:

No One Lives Forever 1 and 2

I think sci-fi covers Planescape torment which is on gog now. But if you want a futuristic one hit up fallout3, and the DLC makes that game way more fun btw, but getting to some of the content you gotta follow some of the story.
