Looking for a straight forward TBS game on the PC

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble finding the style of game I'm looking for, and thought maybe that somebody could help. Who knows, maybe it doesn't exist, but if it does, I'd like to find it.

All I really want is a TBS game for the pc similar to the advanced wars games. Something that doesn't have any RPG or 4X elements to it. Something that just focuses on the tactics of the battlefield, such as unit placement and using the best units to counter your opponent's. If somebody knows of a game like this then I would appreciate it if you would let me know. I've been looking for quite some time now and haven't come up with anything. Thanks in advanced!

Sounds like Panzers. Or Civ V, but that's more like a very cool board game.

Panzer Corps is the best combat-focused turn-based game released in a while. I enjoyed it a lot!
