Looking for a sweet game to LAN with my friend

Just looking for a LAN game for my friend and I, generally into RTS and RPG's. Play some turn based games.

Stronghold 3 and Lord of the Rings: War in the North would be two games right up your alley. Stronghold 3 is due September 2011 and War in the North is November 1, 2011

Yea cant wait for stronghold 3, last i heard they are bringing computers back to multiplayer so that will be fun.

heroes of might and magic 3 (turn based) Baldurs Gate Neverwinter NightsKalDurenik

I would have to say Baldur's Gate, Neverwintehr Nights.. Both suck for lan play (at least for the official campaigns).. The extra character is always "tacked on" rather than being a actual part.. While at the same time certain mechanics such as pausing for Baldurs Gate which was a must to do most itmes is poorly done.. Where my friend and I constantly broke each others pauses and what not...

That being said.. Borderlands.. Its a FPS.. But with rpg elements and quests, along with a Diabloesque loot system.. Not to mention hilarious dialogue and story, especially with the DLC's..

Another fun lan game would be Sins of a Solar Empire.. And you only need one copy to boot for both of you to play..

Dawn of War 2's campaigns can be quite fun with friends as well..
