Call of duty IMO,because it's one of the best FPS invented so far and hardly any fps even top it.I recommend that you get COD4 or COD5.Both fun.Except COD5 is WW2,it still makes it the good kind.You can also take the fight in Zombie mode and multiplayer with 4 perks and special commands.Your choice.
10 an first person shooters released this year. Mirror's edge is more of a fall to your death trial and error em up and zeno clash is a beat em up. What have you got against 2008? Just out of interest.
CoD4's maps are taken from the single player and don't seem very good as multiplayer maps, they are also way too small.
STALKER is my personal favorite Single Player Shooter in the last couple years. It came out in 2007. It is far more immersive than anything out there. I played all the major shooters of the last few years and I put the most time in this one. Its longer, has more replayablility, and has the most interesting and atmospheric game world. Bioshock and Crysis where great singleplayer games but I always go back to STALKER. I feel it is the best of the 3 and with mods it is even better.
CoD singleplayer are good but they are short. You complete them in about 5 hours. They are the same every time you play them through so they lack replay value. They are your best bet if you want a singleplayer campaign and some multiplayer to boot but if your just looking for single or just looking for multi then there are better options out there.
