Would like to get a monitor or HDTV that I can use for both my 360 and possibly also my future Mac mini. Not really that picky, just a few requirements: 32" minimum for HDTV, 24" minimum for monitor Would perfer 1080p since I do a lot of illustration and design work, but I can squeeze down to 720p if the panel is worth it Needs an HDMI port, preferably 2 or more if its an HDTV Thats about it. Right now Im running a 20" monitor and 19" 720p set for my PC and Xbox, respectively. Would like to have one good screen for both instead of two OK ones.

(Gamespot won't let me create a clickable link, so just copy and paste it. It should take you to Best Buy's site.)

At $430, this is closest deal I can find to your price point with all of the features you asked for. It has PC (and PC audio) inputs, so you can hook your laptop right up. It's cheap because it happens to be on sale right now, but if you decided to wait, be prepared to up your price range to about $450-500 to get what you want. Also, if this happens to be your first HDTV, don't forget to buy and HDMI cord for your Xbox 360 and any other devices you have. Also, I went ahead and made the assumption that you are in the U.S. If you aren't, then you are going to have to spend a lot more than $400 (Canadian.)

Walmart usually has some good deals and the occasional sale on HDTVs. Just make sure to do your homework. Some of the cheap HDTVs can be rather flakey, but other brands can give your good results without breaking your bank.

Now, at $400, a good 32" HDTV may be a bit out of reach for you unless it's on sale. See if you can stretch your budget to $500. That can open up a wider range of 32-37" HDTVs. And most of these should be 1080p and have 2-3 HDMI ports and maybe a VGA port. Just don't expect too many bells and whistles beyond that point (like significant image enhancement, 120Hz refresh rates, etc.), but for your purposes, you can still thoroughly enjoy yourself.

TV: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889253230 Moniter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005134 Both of those have all your requirements. Best Buy USUALLY sucks, but like the guy above said, if you check the actual store sometimes on the side they have some pretty good clearence sales, in which case you can also look for something.
