I already have WiC and CoH, and I really enjoyed most of the matches online. I was wondering if supcom + its expansion has solid multiplayer options too. Are there other RTS's that I should consider for multiplayer ?
The new RTS from Petroglyph, Universe at War, has been getting great reviews for its multiplayer aspect.It features a world domination mode,special tactical abilities that are earned from accumulating victories, and also pc players are able to battle against console players. I was in the beta and can say this game holds much potential for being a great online RTS.
Have you tried COH's expansion? Definatly worth a look if you havn't. A lot of things have changed to vCOH since the expansion, rain and storms, fire.. nebels leave a whole heap of flame as well as a lot of balance changes.
The two new teams are awesome and very refreshing since they play completly different.
I have played Sup Com, but only 1 player. Was my kind of RTS game, so I never tried the online side of it. Dawn of War is superb online, well for me anyways. Age of Empires 3 I also play online, but that can lag like an overweight person taking part in the Tour de France. DoW I find is superb for almost lag free games, even with mass units running around killing each other
Get CnC 3. Now is the perfect time to get it. It came down in price, it doesn't need an amazing comp to play it, and an expantion Kan's Wrath is about to come out for it. It also has great multiplayer. It's in the World Cyber Games
Supreme Commander is good but you have to have a good comp to run it on. The battles are epic and the fields, massive. The game also has a long tech tree. It's not a bad game though. But my #1 pick would have to be CnC 3. How can you not love it's story?
C&C 3, it is simple and fun to play. Also Kane's Wrath(C&C 3 expansion pack) is on its way so when you are done with C&C 3, you can move on to that game.
