So this past summer I bought the Sony KDL32BX300 for cheap at Sears one day. It was going for $260 that day which seemed a really good deal for a tv that size and especially the Sony brand. Anyway the picutre quailty ot he tv is great and there is nothing wrong with the speakers either. It gets loud enough but I was looking for some extra to provide a little more to it. The TV does really lack in the bass department, I donth know if it puts any out.

I found a couple of sets on Amazon and was seeing if anyone had any input on them. I am not looking for anything groundbreaking. I am in a small college dorm so its not like I am looking for something to put out a ton of volume. I just want a little more.

Thanks for any help.

Well it won't let me post them as links so sorry for the inconvience.

Hey, I just posted this speaker/amp combo not long ago for a TC in another thread. He recieved the speakers and said he was really impressed by the sound.

So let me use the magic of copy and paste:

Ta-da!

Dayton DTA-1 T Amp -$45 - http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?PartNumber=300-380

Dayton B652 2-way Bookshelf Speakers -$30 - http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?PartNumber=300-652

Total: $75

You'll also need some speaker wire if you don't have, http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=109-040

This speaker combo will sound MUCH better than any mass market product, enjoy!

I send NVIDIATI's recommendation, and would add that you will need an interconnect (the red/white RCA cable) to go from the audio output on the back of the television to the Dayton amp (there should be one analog audio output on the television, I checked, but make sure you confirm before ordering).

Good luck!

Thanks to both of you. Now will I need a receiver for these or just the cables you are listing?

All you need is:

  1. The Dayton Amp
  2. The speakers
  3. Speaker Wire
  4. A 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2 RCA Male Cable (turns out the amp does not accept standard RCA cables directly as I thought)

Good luck!
