I'm looking for a fairly new open ended rpg. I've played and beaten the following... Mass Effect, TES 3 and 4, and Fallout Series. What would you recommend?

Arx Fatalis is cool. imma get flamed but Dark Messiah of Might & Magic was a lot of fun. not exactly open ended, but a fun game nonetheless.

I agree with Arx Fatalis. Also, I haven't played the following games, but heard good things about them: Gothic 3, Mount and Blade and Drakensang.

Gothic 2 and 3. However I personally prefer Gothic 2 as many other people. Gothic 3 is still a good game.

Two Worlds. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME in Version 1.0. Many people complain about this game but I think they actually didnt play it with latest patchs. If you will get Two Worlds than get latest patch 1.7 ( I think). Latest patch is a must.

Arx Fatalis is a great game.

Mount and Blade is also a great game but its nothing like TES games or most other RPGs. Personally I played M&B more than most other games.

Fable 1 is a good game though its not as open as some other games.

ToonTown is my favorite game of all time by a longshot, and I would say that that is fairly open-ended. You probably won't end up getting it, but I can't recommend it anymore. Seriously, it is so much fun. Get it!

I agree with everything above...but I'd say that the Gothic series would be your next best bet.

Gothic 2 is a great game...Gothic 3,even when you get past all the bugs with unnofficial patches still isn't that good.

You should definetly look into getting Mount and Blade, it's the most open ended world I've ever played. I easily have over 100 hours in it and you can probably pick it up for under 20 bucks on amazon. And there's an expansion coming this fall which will feature highly enhanced graphics and multiplayer!

Definitely recommend Drakensang. I like the fact that I've never experienced any CTDs during play.

I hate to admit it but one open world game I really enjoyed was Two Worlds. It had plenty of technical issues but I thoiught there was a great game underneath especially after giving it a chance for a few hours.

I have no idea if it's fixed yet or not, if so you might want to give it a try.

It's fixed and is a great game, imho. The dialogue is ridiculous, but the game is fun to play. I recommend Two Worlds as well. People write it off as an Oblivion clone, and while it does share similarities, it has it's own unique character that separates it from other games.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition all the way. Seriously...I mean it. Some of the other games mentioned are cool, but start with The Witcher.

TES chapter 2 daggerfall is an EPIC of a game with literally LIMITLESS amounts of stuff to do as it is the sixe of all of england. it takes a week to walk the map shortways and 2 to do it longways.
