I am looking for a good space combat fighter/dog fight sim. I loved Homeworld 1 and 2, but Im not looking for a strategy. I would like a first person or third person game, like the old wing commander games. Anyone know of any games like this?
x2/x3 are great, but I advice you that those games are more on the empire building side of the space sim genre. But they're still very satisfying, might take around 2 weeks to really start enjoying the fruit of those games. But Once you get your own personal fleet on the roll you're looking at good times ahead. Very good times. :D
Independance War 2 Is also another good game if you're looking at the combat side of things, the game has very great space physics and combat, It's the best combat I've had since Freespace 2.
StarLancer and FreeLancer are quite playable. I enjoyed those. FreeLancer has more freedom but I think StarLancer is better. Personally I would like to try Darkstar One aswell. Reviews say it's worth picking up.
