Looking for the name of an older game

Hi

The other day me and some friends was talking about older games and I recalled a game that for the life of me I can't remember the name.

Each player starts of on a small island, divided into a grid, then you have to build up your base and build missile silos to attack the other's base and also anti missile defenses to protect your own. I also vaguely remember having a mech some where I think the goal was to kill the other players' mech. It was in isometric view and it was round about 1997 - 2000 that the game came out.

I know exactly which game you are talking about and have been trying to figure out the name of it for a while myself...
