looking for TOP QUALITY 2.1 speaker system

I'm pretty much looking for the best 2.1 speaker system I can afford.  Lets make it a $200-300 range

Forget anything other than 2.1 systems.  When I want 3d audio, I wear my headset.  Im just looking for a badass set of speakers to rock my games and MP3's while Im not busy pwning joo all.  I've seen the creative and altec lansing stuff, but they just don't seem very high end

Im considering the use of "close field" speakers like you see in recording studio's

Thirded. lol. My buddy has those, great speakers. The top-end Bose or Seinheiser speakers though, out of this world, you won't find them on newegg though.
