I have Battlefield 1942 and all it's expansions but I don't find it realistic enough. Recently, I found out about Day of Defeat Source and Red Orchestra. Has anyone ever played those games? Right now I'll just say that I want a very realistic WW2 shooter with great multiplayer. Any suggestions?

Red Orchestra would be the perfect game for you.
It's an excellent game, with a massive focus on realism.

Yeah sounds pretty good! I had remembered seeing somewhere that it was one of the most realistic WW2 shooters available but I haven't played it yet. Also, (I know it's not WW2 but) what about America's Army? I've been hearing good things about it's multiplayer recently.

Americas army was fun for a while....but eventually I just got board.....it has a ton of maps (likee 40) but half of them have barely anyone playing them.....and the general propaganda the game gives off kinda got to me pretty fast.

still, its a free game, no harm in trying it out.

Red Orchestra is a very realisitc game....but extreamly hard to learn, and very complex.

Right now though...Im about to try Project reality mod for BF2...which is supposed to make the game very realistic.

Haha are you kidding, CoD2 licks ass when it comes to realism! Regenerating health? You can just run around spraying like Quake or something. Sorry, but CoD2 FAILS at realism. However, I thought that the original CoD was great. All of that aside, yes I'd suggest getting Red Orchestra. I only downloaded the demo, and I thought it was really good. But IMO, I prefer Day of Defeat: Source.... but that's just me. Red Orchestra is far more realistic and challenging; I'll agree to that.

Hmm ok thanks! Maybe I'll try the demo first. But hey since you've played both DoD: Source and RO, can you tell me what the main difference between them is? They're both WW2 and stuff so...

Day of Defeat is more of your standard, fast paced, multiplayer affair (granted, very good multiplayer), whilst Red Orchestra pushes itself to be very realistic.

CoD1 is perhaps the best WWII game I've played so far.

Yeah BiA is on the PC, with the third game coming soon too (November I think).
Red Orchestra is still highly recommended, however.

All the Brother's in Arms games are on PC. If I were you I'd just wait for Hells Highway and buy that, mainly because I'm not sure how the online community is doing. BiA is for the most part a singleplayer game anyways.

Get Red Orchestra though.
