TC is either paying with Mexican Pesos, or he wants to see how strong a PC we can build.

Its funny because in just a few years it will be struggling with the latest games.

I say get 2xGTX 590, Core i5-2600k, 8gb RAM, Apple 30" monitor, some good headphones and speakers, and a cheap mouse and keyboard. Invest the rest in Silver and gold.

Spending 3k is already useless as it is but 15k isn't even funny... So just go buy an Alienware but be warned, because you will be missing another 5-10k

I want to build the best money can get me. For hard drives I am going to get a few of these. For Gpu's I'll most likely get three 590's. Is this a good GPu for gaming ?

Those HDD's are not the best you can get, they operate at less than half the speed of the newest SSD's, and that is a work station card it's designed for rendering and stuff like that check outthisfor HDDs and then maybe something like thisin 4 way SLI if you have the balls :D

Yep, can't use more than two 590's, also I would guess that four 580's would beat that.

You'd have to have watercooling for those four card as they will just ignite if you put them in a case together... So a long with a 2600k you're going to have to purchase 5 coling blocks hehe

I would suggest one of them and a 27-30" super high resolution IPS monitor in a dual display setup.

VX30 for best image quality and motion smoothness, the monitor for web browsing and some super resolution gaming. :D

And some furniture and appropriate accessories to most conveniently accommodate such a setup with the ability to switch your sitting position so you could game on either display without having to change things too much and yet be able to sit head on with either display.

How can you even spend that much on a computer? Gold plating?

I suppose it would make an interesting money wasting challenge, but the silly thing about this endeavor is that you would be much better off spending $3k now and saving the remaining $12k for ~4 entirely new builds with new technology in the future.

Really if you absolutely must spend that much money then dedicate half of the budget for plasma TV, high end IPS monitor, high end surround system and some studio headphones.

Exactly how rich are you?

6 monitors is really bad, it's bezel overload.

Sony 25" OLED display is currently the best thing money can get you, it costs around 25-30k. It's worth it if you earn like $500000+ per annum.

If that sounds too much then panasonic plasma is the way to go. The picture quality and motion smoothness is just far far superior to any "monitor" you can get.

I didn't buy stuff just to buy stuff , like i didn't buy a tv tuner card, i didn't buy windows...

Ok that's pretty much the strongest system you can have, maybe Two hd 6990 wil do a little bit better but the use of physx in some games will bring nvidia on top overall.

If you want to have a better system and still spend more money you have to add a tesla system. I don't know how much it cost but i suspect this is combined with normal videocard so the better the normal videocard the higher performance.

Honestly the best advice I have read so far. Especially with gold where it is today. Everytime the market is shakey, gold is where everyone with brains goes. I remember a yr or 2 ago. Gold was at $1100 per oz. now its what...$1700? That is sick.

Dude, those OCZ SS HDDs are garbage. Did you not read any reviews? Most are delivered DOA. Also, with today's economy I find it absurd to spend that kind of money on a pc alone. I hope to hell you have alot of money left over after that 15k. Invest or you are a boob. I smell boobery and flim-flammery in this thread. I think we are being bamboozled.

most people don't need an SSD and with the capacity so low on them there is no point .....

DeViLzzz

WOW, really?

Use the SSD as a boot drive and keep your games/movies/other stuff on a 1TB HDD.
