Good evening my fellow Gamespot brothers (and possibly sisters, you never know),

Many of you may recognise me as the guy who frequently asks "Can I run Crysis, Assassin's Creed, COD 4"?

My specifications are as follows:

1.2 GHz, 576 RAM, GeforceFX 5700, Windows 2000, Keyboard and a Mouse.

I have decided that I would like to purchase a new computer capable of playing the next generation games like Crysis, etc.

I need your advice on what I should be getting. I will relinquish my role as the guy who regularly gets flamed for asking if he can run it. And with your advice I will be able to set sail for the new world and purchase a new computer.

The people of Australia have dug deep to grant me a sum of $2000 to build this new prototype machine, that will eventually fly and allow me to sound like Da Vinci more than I do right now...What should I be looking to buy?

You'll better answers on the hardware forum, but If you'll get your new PC just right, you'll max out AC for sure, also COD4...but Crysis is a bit of a problem, even the most powerful PC's out there still can't max it out with all the settings on the highest setting. Still, it looks great on medium-high as well....

The two games I really want to play are Alan Wake and Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

And your new rig will max them as well if your rig will be good...

Hey how much do you reckon all that equipment that Daddy Big Bucks suggested above us would cost?

It won't be cheap, but it'll be well worth your money. if you got 2000$, you should be fine. Also, don't forget to buy a DVD-drive so you could use it with games on dvd CD's.

Surely the motherboard comes with a sound card! We'll have to investigate!

Hi mate, Im from Sydney. Where did you get those OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!! prizes lol. For the Q6600 you can get it for $350 also for the X-530 speakers for $95, ummm for HDD you can get Western Digital 500GB!!!!! for $150 also for a 22" LCD you can get a new Viewsonic one with 5ms & other goodys for $365 & your better of getting the NEW 8800GT I found one for $400 also its from XFX a good brand, take it from me since I own a 22 LCD & a 8800GTS 320MB also only a dual core E6600 but I ran Half Life 2 EP2 on max without lag.

Now for those parts alone thats a $233 saving plus you get better video card the 8800GT and a 500GB for the same prize as the 320GB & also for the DVD drive you can get a 20X!!!!!! dvd burner plus has SATA interface for $55 thats another $5 in your pockets & with all that saving you can get instead of 2GB RAM you add $177 from the money you saved on top of the RAM you chosen to get 4GB!!!!!!!

With that system you should see some GREAT results especially if you OC the Q6600, hope I helped out abit, OH!!!! btw the site is http://www.scorptec.com.au/ you should buy from there since EVERY part has warranty & you can find more good prizes on the other stuff like motherboard or etc, its far the best site for computer parts & delivery is good as I live in NSW but their located in Melbourne also its really quick if they have items in stock.
