You could also build a new PC that could play any game for around $650 and would massacre your PS3's graphics. Naturally it won't have a problem with those games you mentioned.
Technically almost all of them should run on a netbook but thats not what I would recommend. You'll also want windows xp for guaranteed compatibility to run those old games. This should be plenty for those games http://tinyurl.com/28twpvu
Any suggestions on a laptop ? The portability would be nice. Plus, i don't have the space.bussinroundsyour looking for a cheap one or for ultra gaming laptop??

A cheap one, so i can play those old games. Play them good though. 300$ I was hoping for something closer to 200$. At 300, i might as well as spend a little more and be able to play all the newer crap (or most of it), no ? Would i be able to play neverwinter nights 2 ( highest specs out of all those games ? ) on that one ?

I'd do this - especially if you are truly looking to "get into" PC gaming. Wouldn't you like to play Dragon Age II on PC? :D
Go for a Toshiba Satellite ...
They almost never overheat.
My almost 3 year old laptop still suffice to play latest games like cod: BO or medel of honor on highest settings with aa off ...

I could just get DA2 on the ps3. ( If they still let you pause & give commands ) They seem to be console-ising alot of the newer pc games anyways now, compared to how it used to be.Mabye i could make space, but how the hell would i build anything if i don't know **** about computers ? Well, there are a lot of threads around where someone posts their budget and others help them pick components. And honestly, it really isn't hard to build a computer. There are guides with pictures online that could help you learn. Or, if you have a friend that could help, that's even better.
Obviously you are free to get a cheap computer to play old games if you KNOW that's all you want to play. Personally, I would get the itch to play some newer games and I'd end up buying a cheap and more expensive computer
Here is an example of what you could get for $600. Note that this DOES include a monitor, but does NOT include a keyboard, mouse, or OS. Other people are better at building budget systems than I am, so if you are thinking about going down this path, you might want to start a thread or ask for help here.
CPU: AMD Phenom 9840 (Quad Core 2.5 GHz) - $113 (with power supply below)
Thermaltake 600w Power Supply (in above combo deal)
Video Card: XFX Radeon 5770 - $135
RAM: G.Skill 4GB DDR2 800 - $65
Motherboard: Gigabyte MA785GM - $70
Monitor: LG 20" LCD - $110
Hard Drive: WD 500 GB -$55
Case: Coolermaster Elite 310 - $40
DVD Drive: Asus DVD Burner - $20
Total - $608.....without the $40 worth of mail in rebates. If you manage to get the rebates back, only $568!

It's kind of hard to find info on that onboard graphics chip, but here is a little. They haven't tested a lot of games, but a game from 1999 is playable. 1 game from 2004 is playable, and another from 2004 is not. So, you might be ok but you might have to play on low.

That should play most games 2004 and older, most. Although I'd be a little skeptical of an emachines
