You might be able to get a 4870,,,but you wont get a massive performance jump from your 8800GT!

be prepared you might have to buy a newer PSU with 2x PCI-e power plugins.

In your 200-250 price range, I don't see any major jump... I have the 8800 gts 512 and I got a 4870 for 3 days and returned it because I honestly noticed only minor minor fps gain (2-5 maybe?)... I'm waiting on a price drop on the 9800x2
