lord of the rings return of the king help

just installed the lord of the rings return of the king game which is pretty old and had a couple of problems

other than graphics being weird on my monitor i was wondering how do i do multiplayer or coop

coop is greyed out and i don't see multiplayer as an option

or are they unlocked later in the game?

also are there any patches for teh game?

i think to play coop it needs to detect another controller installed. so if ur just using the keyboard+mouse and dnt have no other controller plugged i dnt think it will let you
