Hi all, I am upgrading my PC tomorrow, getting a new case, HDD, CPU and RAM and Vista 64, worrying thing is that I have lost the CD that came with the motherboard, wondering however that if I install the mobo tomorrow with the new parts will it actually boot up correctly? Can I just download the chipset drivers afterwards and install em then? Thanks in advice.

99% chance that you won't even need chipset drivers if you have a mobo from a reputable manufacturer. All I ever install are drivers for my 4850 and X-Fi when I re-install OS.

Well, as long as the motherboard works now, you'll be fine. Especially seeing as when you first use a motherboard with a brand new computer, there's no OS, or anything of that nature, so it has to be able to function enough for you to install the OS. And if it doesn't work with you're current hard drive, what I'd do is disconnect it, and have just the new one connected, let it boot, install vista, then turn off the computer, and attach the old one so you can still have all the data on it.

Cheers for the quick responce all, I will first try to use the new HDD and install Vista, then get the drivers from my laptop and see if that works, if not then I will just plug in the old HDD too and pow! problem fixed :P
