How are you calling GPU requirements bad when it's a mere 8800/9800 and call the CPU requirements good with a quad core? It doesn't look like a bad port at all, statistically, no idea what you're talking about.

The quad core screams for facepalms, jeez its a third person shooter, why all the requirements? The gpu is good. Anyway i thought capcom has given up in this game, it wil be cool to play a game with very good graphics from capcom that is also optimized....oh wait, it needs a quadcore :(

Lets wait until it actually comes out...this is using the same engine as DMC4, and that PC port was amazing. System Requirements aren't always a good way to judge the quality of a port.

I liked the first one, but haven't gotten around to finishing it. I'll probably get the second one when the price falls. Capcom has been releasing some good multiplats and ports, so I wouldn't judge the game too badly yet.

Well an 8800gt is kind of a steep requirement when the console game ran on hardware 3-4 times less powerful than it.

Although most games that say an 8800gt is part of the requirements doesn't mean much since I can usually max them out anyway.

I am not complaining until I see how the game runs.

I don't think it will be bad because like I mentioned games that have required an 8800gt allowed me to play at max with it.

Who said we are getting a low textured console game? They pushed the PC version which is why its going to use DX11 and the system requirments are higher. I played the PS3 demo and trust me its ugly.

Well if I can play Metro 2033 at 1440x900 on very high directx 10 settings then I expect this game to not be that taxing or something is wrong.

Also ran Metro 2033 at 1680x1050 on very high directx 9 mostly because I could see no difference and it gave a good boost in frame rate.

I ran the test and I was right.

My 8800gt can handle it on max with 2 or 4x AA

I don't really see a difference so I leave it at 2x.

Also I played it on 1680x1050.

Got around 40 FPS.

Console also runs at 720p or less resolution, and probably 30 fps or less.

The recommendation of using a controller over mouse&kb screams bad port at me. If there goint to wait half a year to port a game over and not even bother to do a decent port then people just wont buy it and the low sales will all be the fault of piracy again.

The original Lost Planet had fine PC controls, it was just all the labels were still the 360! Plus, it took me awhile to figure out that right mouse was to go back a menu, just put a back button for Pete's sake! =P

Benchmarked it in DX11 with everything set to max

I got: 51 fps average with 32xAA

and 67 fps average without AA

Runs good enough i guess.:D Does anybody know what DX11 features this game uses anyway? I thought i saw some tesselated water (That didn't look to well) but i'm not sure.

And why did the player in the benchmark demo play so awful lol

I actually have HIGH hppes for lost planet 2. Remember, they were gonna release the game but soon as the console version was trashed for all the small problems, they sent the PC version back to the drawing board. Almost all console reviews and problems can easily be fixed for PC so I wait to see how it turns out. Not really seeing a problem with these spec requirements at all. Seems very reasonable to me.

The Zotac 480 GTX AMP!

But i don't think that someone actually needs 32xAA at 1080P, its just nice to see that your GPU can handle it lol

The Lost Planet 2 game is pretty well optimized if I can max it out just fine with my 8800gt OC at 1680x1050.

I have good expectations of the game.

I would take more screenshots but they always blur because my computer likes to hiccup when saving the multiple bmp files.

I usually get around 40 fps or more but my frame rate dips down when taking screenshots.

Also it is hard to get a good screenshot when the stupid player keeps focusing on bad camera angles.

The Lost Planet 2 game is pretty well optimized if I can max it out just fine with my 8800gt OC at 1680x1050.
