Dont upgrade, just get a whole new machine.  It dosent have to be great, just enough to what you want it to.

if u get $1000 together u will be in good shape. upgrade to atleast 1 gig RAM, a GFX card with a minimum of 128mb or higher on-board videoram, and a dual-core cpu if u can afford it. a good start would be a AMD 3800+ - 4000+ both respectable for "entery" level, and will run most games well enough to play on medium settings, maybe higher, depending on the game. try "newegg.com" for the best prices in hardware. EDIT:: on a side note, i was part of the beta for LOTR online, and i have 2 geforce 6800's in SLI formation, 2 gig ram, and a dual-core 3800+. it ran fine on med setting but crank it up and it came to a crawl, literaly! so don't expect it to run stunningly. the weakness to my system is the CPU(which i'll be upgrading come tax season)
