Hey, Ive been playing LOTRO for a bit, but it seems like I cant enjoy a game now without the client spontaneously closing at random with the usual error with the option to send a report. I have both launchers on my firewall exceptions, and have even disabled the firewall, is there anything I can do?

I suffer from a similar, if not identical, issue as you.  My client crashes usually when I am in Bree.  It rarely happens anywhere else.  From what I have gathered on the LOTRO forums (in fact, you'll probably get better help there), the issue might be related to a memory leak when dealing with the higher-res textures.  I couldn't tell if that is the real deal or not, but I turned down my textures one notch and things have become a bit more stable.  Also, make sure your video card drivers are up-to-date as that may correct some issues if the crash is video related.

Like I said, this is from what I've gathered on the LOTRO forums.  I highly recommend going over there to see if you can find other players with similar issues and see if there are any recommendations by the devs.

There's still a memory leak with the high res client on Vista. Set your texture as high and it wont crash anymore.
