Ive been suffering crashes a lot lately, it all started with STALKER (which is not on my PC anymore), but shortly after that, SupCom suffered freezes at regular points in the campaign map, then LOTR constantly "needed to close, send/dont send etc." Now, im getting crashes on Zombie Master/CSS where it just locks up with jittery sound. I never suffered probs like this before, but my hard drive is very full as of late? Could that be it? Ive tried everything I usually try to fix games, drivers, firewalls/anti viruses disabled etc, lowering graphics settings, nothing seems to work. Here is my DxDiag, its getting beyond tolerable cos it seems I cant enjoy a game without it screwing up  in one way or another, can anyone help?

it may be a heat issue. try cleaning out all of the dust in your PC and if you have anything overclocked, set it back to stock settings.

Yea, I was going to say the samething. Clean all the dust out. Seem like your GPU is overheating (my guess is because of dust build up). Come to think of it, it could also be your CPU. When my CPUe overheated, I could do everything except play games. When I would try, it would lock up. I had to replace my CPU and motherboard when it overheated. The motherboard worked, but had issues like only seeing half my memory for example. It showed both 512MB sticks of memory, but only read them as 256MB and single channel, not dual.

I had that problem big time and drove me crazy...especially as I had just upgraded.  I was gettin BSODs right smack in the middle of every game I played.   It turned out that my new video card didnt like my motherboard.  I might suggest you make sure they are compatible with each other.  One way to do that and avoid constant trial and error is get a card and a motherboard from the same manufacturer.. eg Gigabyte.  Even then they might not be compatible so get the lastest versions.8)

Good advice from above, if all other hardware tests fail, reinstall XP.  A fresh copy always does me good

reinstall vid card drivers, reinstall direct x and direct x runtime environ. then disk defrag, check everything is plugged in, check temps, especially vid card. go to command promt and type chkdsk, if it finds problems type chkdsk /r and restart. if none of this helps, you probably have a bad harddrive, ram, vid card, or psu. run memtest86+ to check ram

Ive run memtest, and it seems to suggest bad RAM, apparently if there are "any errors at all, you have bad RAM" is what ive read on a guide screen, but I dont have any 0's in the pass column either. Could this be my problemo?
