So to summarise the article,,,,it is ****! In pretty much every situation SLI/X-Fire offers better performance gains. Oh well, it sounded good at least.

Pst... learn to discern what someone is talking about. He is talking about the motherboard.

On-Topic: A problem I see with Hydra now is that the devs(Hydra Devs, not game devs) have to make very specific profiles for each game. Which will be a painstakingly slow and expensive process.

If you look at the Guru3D review of the board though it does show excellent promise. The 4770 + 9800 GTX+ combo looked the best IMO. With those two cards is almost getting both cards FPS in single mode combined when working in tandem(Yes I know it was like 40-60%, but it was still awesome).

Oh well, it was a good thought in theory which may work, but it just seems like it is on early stages. However i wouldnt fully give up on it. I'm sure once the devs figure out how to get this thing to work well and maybe it will be decent. Then from there improve on it. Who knows maybe one day we will see what hydra was supposed to be in the beginning.

Yea saw it on Anandtech yesterday, very disappointing indeed. Hopefully it can gain some ground with the next driver update, but even then the shoddy list of supported games and the crashing reported by Anand in those games, it's looking very bleak. With a review like that no ones going to be buying this, and there goes any support for driver updates. Good idea, poorly executed thus far.

Look at the Anand review, they did a higher res and CF/SLI blows Hydra away.

What makes you think its going to get better? They already delayed it by quite a bit so if its still bust i wouldn't get too hopefully for the future.
