Mac Imovie Question

Imovie HD 6 imports so slowly. Is there anything I can do to make it import more quickly. No other video editing app imports as slowly as imovie 6 but Imovie 6 has more features.

Gamespot is a gaming website. Mac's are not the gamers computer of choice. Someone may have one, but it is unlikely you will get the answer you require.
