Does anyone else find it really stupid how Apple doesnt let anyone install Mac Os X on any non-Apple systems?

I think Mac Os X would sell a lot more if PC users were able to install it! (legally)

it allows for quality control, and I think they've acknowledged by now that they're happy with the niche they have.

If Apple let people put OSX on PC's, then who will buy their overpriced computers?

Yeah you can put OS X on PC but it violates the end user agreement. I actually think there was a guide on c-net on how to do it

I would gladly talk about it, but of course there is gonna be someone like YOU who would report me and I'd get modded.

I know you COULD put Mac os X on a pc, BUT not legally.

Someone asked "who would buy their overpriced hardware"

Most people I know who own macs get it for the harddware, and not so much the OS.

Also, think of AlienWare computers. Misinformed people would pay for anything pretty.

But, back on topic. I think Apple should let anyone install their OS on any platform.

They would gain market share pretty quickly, I would def buy Mac OS X if it was for every platform.

That statement is false. Every person that I know other than one that own a
Mac have no idea what the difference between a hard drive and a video card. Also you can get much better hardware for a win box for much cheaper. For example I just purchased a laptop for 1200 with dual video cards 8600gt, dual hard drives and other things and a buddy of mine got his macbook pro for 3200 with kinda the same stats other than the dual vid cards and hard drives.

The most expensive MAC has a 2600xt or some s*it like that. Macs don't have better hardware.

lol, I see where you are coming from. Its my fault I wasnt clear enough.

I was talking about the case, the mouse, the monitor **** The way it looks.

Not the insides, macs are casual PCs.

The Wii of the computer world.
