Ive recently started mapping for CS again, the last time i mapped was probably 2 or 3 years ago i went back to using valve hammer editor 3.4, is there anything else new out there for mapping, or is it just the same old, j/w if any of you guys knew.
Well the newest, major change to mapping Valve's games is the addition of the Source Engine and said engine's SDK. Other than that, I believe that mapping CS and other goldsource powered games would be pretty much the same to what you were used to back in the day. At least, mapping Half-Life 1 hasn't changed drastically.
