march 1st ladies n gents is when we see battlefield 3 for the first time

EA is planning a big unveiling of the highly anticipated shooter at the GDC

and dice will be on hand for it.. 2 months to go.. i dont think a few people can last that long..

btw to those of you who bought MoH 2010 within the first day or so (pre-order or not) you are now in the clsoed beta for battlefield 3

This is really great news it looks more and more we will have a fall 2011 launch. I hope they fixed the engine as engine in bc2 normal is exteremly demanding but that was fixed in vietname..

Pardon my ignorance but gameplay wise how do you think bf3 will differ from bfbc2? Different game modes, bigger "maps". Never played bf2 (apart from the f2p beta if that counts) Only reason i ask is because im not sure what the difference is between the 2 games.

Can't wait, honestly, I'll be playing this over most shooters this year online wise.

Good thing my sister's hubby has a copy of Medal of Honor so I can get into the beta without having to pay for that game.

Take BF2, add far better view distance, keep maps, add more maps, improve teh graphx, improve hit detection, and keep BC2's auto/need for patching. One last thing, 64 players is a must. Heck, even give us an option for more but DO NOT go below 64 players. Don't let consoles gimp this potentially awesome game.

I love that MoH players are the beta candidates and not us BF2/2142 players who have been playing the bf series the whole time. Im sure the feedback they get from the moh (*cough Modenwarfare) crowd will be just the info that will make BF3 the game every battlefield player wants... ColdfireTrilogy

bf2 was a game of epic proportions no real singleplayer.. mp only full arsenals soething cod doesnt even have and larger maps of cours.. im talking jets and boats.

What about Battlefield Free2Play? That's basically BF2 updated to BC2 standards. I think that thing is at closed beta stages already. While they sort of tried to undercut Black Ops with BC2, this free game is just going to undercut the sales of BF3 I feel. Strange move on their part. Glad it's free tho, cause my money spent on Black Ops was basically a waste.

I played the beta, and at this point in time it's terrible, and horridly unbalanced. So basically, a beta, but still... :P

I guess so i know the d2.0 was exteremly heavy on the engine. They really dropped it.

I just hope if destruction is in bf3 its done alot better for the ammount of resources desturction 2.0 uses it was extremely underwhelming. I was happy with semi destruction.

In bc2 i can drop in the high 20 fps at certian points not matter what settings i put on. Vietnam i new drop below the high 30's.

Im personally hoping that they got rid of that weapon bobble lol. That and having more compact maps would be nice, but I realize then it wouldn't be battlefield 3 lol.
