I got Mass Effect 2 on PS3 since it came with all the DLC and a special comic that let me do the save carry thing without actually having to play ME1, as well as ME3 on PS3. Its easily one of the best series this generation, but I feel guilty never having played the first one. so I'll have to check this out.

How does it hold up? I know the ME series had a lot of changes after 1, and I really mainly want it to experience the whole plot since the comic was great for giving PS3 owners the same ownership of a character through the series and all, but apparently misses some of the finer details of the first game that really help characterize you.

I'll probably end up playing it just like I made myself out in the comic, though I imagine the finer details of my Shepard's appearance may be hard to replicate.
