The only issue is how they will explain away a trial for those who didn't play it, after all either the reapers are already there then or you didn't kill a bunch of people.
Yeah I got to admit this DLC didn't really thrill me that much either. It felt short, rushed and seemed to totally contradict and weaken Mass Effect 2's story if it is possible to actually weaken ME 2's story any further :P . Ah well what is done is done, hopefully Bioware will get back to form with ME 3.
Better than Stolen Memory, nowhere near as good as LotSB. Depending on your tastes it was maybe slightly better or slightly worse (my person opinion) than Overlord. Overall it served it's purpose as a bridge between games, but it's nothing to write home about. I was a bit disappointed actually.
I wrapped up the DLC in 2 hours (took my time). I didn't like the increased focus on combat but it served as a nice setup for ME3 so I'm not all that disappointed.
Question: I'm in the middle of my second playthrough, just starting out. How far into the game can you start playing "Arrival?" I don't want to use my other game save because I'm actually enjoying my second playthrough as Vanguard. Thanks! I tried googling but I just ended up getting different results.

Not sure as i played it after i completed it but the dlc doesn't fit in the story line till after the full game is completed.

Arrival activates after you do the Horizon mission in Mass Effect 2 (another bad mark against it), it is said that Arrival is meant to be played after you finish the suidcide mission (yeah right so why does Hackett bleat on about me finishing my mission). In reality there is very little difference between doing it before the SM or doing it after, at best you get a few cosmetic changes and that is it.
I thought it was alright, but nothing special tbh. Are they going to release any more DLC for this? For some reason I can remember being told that they were possibly making 3 pieces of DLC.
This is the final "story based" DLC for Mass Effect 2. It is possible they may finish off doing the crappy appearance packs but that is it. The Devs did say earlier this year that they would be bring plenty of "bridging" content to Mass Effect 2, but plans change and we got 1 sorta briding DLC and that is it.
