I've only been able to keep every party member loyal in one game: ever since then I have had problems keeping one of them loyal.
No matter how high I get Paragon or Renegade, after I help both Miranda and Jack, they inevitably fight in the comm room, and I can't get the extra dialog options to light up. I had Paragon up to 75%, you'd think that would be enough. Anyone got some ideas?
How far did you upgrade your class?

I believe my only loyalty problems came from Legion + Tali and Jack+Miranda. Both were solved my a paragon speech choice, pretty sure renegade works as well, otherwise you have to choose. I think.

ull need a save pretty much from sometime before the confrontation triggers, eg. before both of their side missions are complete and then go around and max your points. otherwise your out of luck, if you really want everyone loyal you can either restart or get a trainer to max points (renegade/paragon are pretty trivial anyway)

Maxing points is pretty easy - just go change your armour to something more persuasive when you need to win a conversation, and if you still can't max it out, reset your skill points at the research station and max out your class' alignment ability (the one that doubles your paragon/renegade points). You can always switch your skill points back afterwards. As for the other character confrontation, even if you fail that you can regain one of the character's loyalty just by talking to them again.

only few key variables here.

1. do their royalty missions immediately after you talk to them; do not go for other things.

2. if you do both missions immediately; when the conflict occurs, side with Mirnada, you don't need high paragon points to settle the conflict (renegade for siding with Jack, but I didn't test this myself).

3. if you don't do the mission immediately, you most likely won't be able to settle the fight no matter how high your paragon point is. if so, the paragon route, you'd need to side with Jack, and "in time," after you keep talking to her and piling up paragon points, Miranda will eventually "be a good girl" and loyal again.

I couldn't get it to work either (but solved the tali / legion dispute no problem) In the end I just left Miranda unloyal, I didn't really like her much anyway.

Thanks, I'll give this a try. Previously, I was delaying both Jack and Miranda until the end, due to what inevitably happens. Frankly, I think Jack would win if it really blew up. Anybody that can barehanded waste three mechs with rocket launchers is pretty tough.:P

I never had this problem with Tali though.

I lost Jack's loyalty in that confrontation and did not have enough of either Paragon or Renegade points to get teh extra options, so I told Jack to settle down and sided with Miranda. Jack was po'd, and once I got a nudge past 75% Paragon laster in the game, I was able to open up a dialog option that said "Don't tell me you fell for that" and Jack was still annoyed, but her loyalty returned. The only annoyance is that thereafter, no matter what or when you talk to her (even after the big final mission) all she does is yell **** off" - which I have to assume is a glitch, because its' really annoying and stupid otherwise. When Legion and Tali went at it, I was high enough in Paragon options at least to have an option to tell them they were both right and they both were fine and even talked to each other.
