Are there any known problems of Mass Effect running on computers with Vista as their OS?

I come to understand that this is an RPG also with shooter elements and I am literally on the verge of buying this.

I'm running it on vista 32bit, there are some bugs....especially booting the game and quick save sucks. It's a very good game and what bugs I have didn't stop me from finishing it. Maybe the first patch will fix most of the bugs.

Works perfectly fine on my Vista 64 machine. Alt-Tabbing seems kinda slow, but i dont think thats a Vista issue.

Yeah it should run fine, as long as it's a retail copy of the game and not some "obtained" version, which have had massive problems, and still mostly do. The bugs, like said, are minor, and I've only run into a few annoying ones that have caused me to backtrack, save, then restart the game for. (Matriarch Benezia's chamber on Rift Station was bugged for me for an hour or so).

Just be sure you're aware of the DRM. I would read this before buying the game.

Some of the cutscenes chug on my Vista big rig. It took a half hour to install. I've also come across some bugs. I sometimes lose alot of money even though I haven't bought anything. The key mapping in the configuration won't unmap a key from it's old action when you map it to a new action, instead it leaves the key doubly mapped to multiple actions.
