Mass Effect is frustrating

So i just started playing and I'm at the stage where you need to dedetonate the bombs that the geth put down. so after the first one I'm supposed to kill the people on the bridge and opposite side of my side right? well, i cant. . .for two reasons. One, everytime my health gets low ME doesnt even let me snipe anymore. . .and i can't find a way to disable that. and secondly,sometimes, i can't even scope/shoot for no apparent reason. I'm 100% positive it's not my mouse because i've been using it long enough and it's had absolutely no problems. . .sooo frustrating having to restart that level over and over again

I feel like john sheperd gets to choose when he feels like sniping or not, not me

The game won't let you zoom in if your HP drops to a certain point I think.

Best I can suggest are general tactics. Are you using cover? Are you ordering your squadmates to target your target?

You could just put on casual. I don't think that anybody actually plays Mass Effect for the gameplay. i just like the fact that it has a deep world and story.

Well I have never had this problem and my tip to you is to start the level over again

My original copy of Mass Effect does that...Lox_Cropek

Unfortunately like all anti-piracy triggers they aren't 100% fool proof. I had a legit copy and occassionally I ran into this problem myself (very rarely). I googled the problem and that is how I found out it was an anti-piracy trigger. It was the same situation with GTA 4, there are several anti-piracy triggers in that game and occassionally legitimate owners of the game would be affected by the anti-piracy measures.

I have finished Mass Effect 1 dozens of times now and whilst the anti-piracy trigger is annoying (especially if you have a legit copy) it isn't too problematic and certainly never stopped me from finishing the game.

Yah I got the heating up thing a few times through the game but it's very rare.

What I did was auto save then reload. It is fixed after that.

The heat up lock was caused by using a skill like pistol accuracy before overheating.

I am playing Mass Effect 2 and I hate some of the changes they made like ammo and less stats.
