It was great but its not like oblivion. Its quite a bit more confined and there aren't as many choices. Mass Effect makes up for that with an excelent story though.
Since you loved Oblivion, you would most likely enjoy ME as both are action rpg, with the major difference being ME having better combat and plot, with oblivion having better sidequest and more freedom to do things
