We cant say for sure but it should be fine! The developers seem to be giving the PC version a lot of TLC so i think they will be bothered to do some optimizing in the process.
You guys think it'll run/look better than the 360 version?TMallory2482
Are you crazy! :D
The game named Mass Effect playing on XBOX360 and PC has a great graphics difference. So you never until a day when a new PC graphics card will release, you cannot play the games at PC like playing at XBOX360, the main reasons are that at PC the game will crash but at XBOX360 very rarely, the details at XBOX360 are better than playing at Computer.

It never cannot run like at a XBOX 360 with your computers specifications, althought there you can get crashes, but at XBOX 360 very rarely.

My native language is Albanian! :)
And I want to say that playing Mass Effect at XBOX360 is better than playing it at your computer.
Reasons:
1. At XBOX no Freezes ( crashes ).
2. Better image quality at HD TV.
3. Others.
Is it clear to get?
no clue what that other guy is trying to say but usually PC games look better then their console counterpart. I would expect it to look better on the PC but we won't know until it comes out. :Dct1615
Maybe but do not think same. You will not be able to play it at High Settings with a great FPS Frame Rate, so it will (freeze) or at game will be FPS around 20-30 Rate and it is not a great result of playing it and got excited. :)
[QUOTE="ct1615"]I think your understanding in the difference between a PC and a console is pathetic....at best.teddyrob
I agree. Clearly a medium to high end PC is better than a X360.
I agree partly. :)
A High PC is better than a XBOX360.
Because at a Medium PC you do not get good frame rates.
So with an 8800GT/E4500/2GB, what should I be expecting? Better graphics? Better FPS? Both? Neither?
I'll be playing on 1280x1024, or 1024x768 if need be.

Probably you can play the game at High Settings with a good frame rate in that resulution.
So you can play the game at High Settings.
Lmao @ Owyns, he has no idea.
The Xbox 360 is a peice of garbage that runs everything at med-full detail / with a little or no anti aliasing.
Mass Effect on a Medium or High spec computer will look outstanding compared to the console.

1. Um thats a joke right ? theres so many glitches on the 360 version and the red rings of death are a common crash :roll:2. Uh pc's have been running hd picture quality for probaly 10 years
3. Yeah you need others you have no clue what your talking about

That makes no sense a medium pc will give good good frames on medium settings. Just because the settings are lower doesn't mean the frames plumish because of it[QUOTE="TMallory2482"]You guys think it'll run/look better than the 360 version?Owyns

lol crashing  you have very lil understanding baout pcs dont you
playing ME on the pc at medium is still alot better looking then playing on the console and if you play on high it wont crash
and its very rare for pc games to crash on the computer cuz of playing on hihg usually a pc gamer knows the limit but nowadays an 8800gt will play any game on high without troubole (exc3ept for crysis)
Have you guys even played mass effect on the 360.
It's a total technical disaster.
8800GT runs assasins creed better than the 360 and games dont get more unoptimized than AC.
Spybot_9
i wouldnt go that far...a technical disaster would be a game that crashes constantly and has show stopper bugs in it. if u want to see a technical disaster, play vampire the masquerade bloodlines in unpatched form...now theres a technical disaster to be prowd of :P (a great game lurks under those bugs though). it has a few graphical glitches and some annoying loading times...thats it really. in all my time playing it on 360, its never crashed and i havent found any major bugs in quests and such like.
as for the PC version....itll definately be better. graphically it wont be a million miles away from the 360 version but it should look a bit better and graphical glitches should be far les noticable. the big benefits though should come from the quicker loading and mouse and keyboard support.

By playing mass effect you just get the feeling that the game is too much for the system.

Considering it uses the Unreal 3 engine, I get the feeling that it was released before enough optimizations were made by the developers....Please Log In to post.
