Mass Effect Save games question

Okay so here's the thing i played Mass effect the one I downloaded. I got real far, now i bought the game. Im gonna do a format, will the save files work on the Mass Effect that I bought?

The thing is I bought the original version of the game. Bioware simply rocks, but i dont know, does US UK diffrence will affect my saved games? i really need to format i hope it wont be a problem

If you're concerned about losing them you can try copying the save files to a something other than your computer and then just put them back in.
