$4 for Max Payne 1 and 2. Never played either so I don't know how they are but it seems like a really good deal.

Just bought both, they sound like classic games so it's gotta be worth a few quid.

This is the best deal they've had all week. The Max Payne games are timeless classics, and are near untouchable in story telling.

This game is surely worth the money. heck, the theme music itself is worth that money. One of my best games I ever played, although it is graphically outdated.

The first one is amazing, but the second one is superior in every way. There was just a thread not long ago praising how good the second one is. http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/28464702/still-no-other-game-like-max-payne-2.

A lot more than our wallets that's for sure. A few hours into Max Payne, great game so far although the faces Max pulls makes me laugh.

I've been on a PC gaming lull and just happened to fire up steam this week. Heck, I bought Bioshock 1 & 2, Borderlands (+all the DLC), and Max Payne 1 & 2 and didn't even break $22... I already had a copy of Bioshock (but on the xbox), borderlands (but no DLC), and Max Payne 1 (but lost the disc) - maybe steam will convert me after all.

I'm debating whether I should pony up the extra dollar something and rebuy the second one even though I have it on disc (in case I don't have access to it).

Man I'm a cheap sob.

I got Bully instead. I like using my Xbox 360 controller with PC games and Max Payne series got a bit repetitive for me, doing the same thing level after level. Might have got it if there was controller support.

Pretty much this. They improved the combat quite a bit in the 2nd one. Regardless, these are 2 games that every gamer should play.

This says it all.

shutupmoney

I already have both physical copies and steam copies even when it wasn't on sale. This is virtually free. I'm actually looking to gift this bundle to a couple of friends.

I would like to thank Steam for not only the AWESOME price that they were selling these two games at but for reminding me of these two great game. I didn't quite finish Max Payne 1 & 2 and had sound issues with Max Payne 1, which thanks to Steam forums for Max Payne someone made an app to fix it (another benefit of Steam where they have forums where you could find fixes for pretty much any games).

This game brought back so much memories from when I was a kid. Playing through Max Payne 1, LOVE the gritty style, and the cutscenes with his commentary that is very poetic, it feels like reading a mystery novel mixed with an action movie.

Thank you Steam for reminding me of this great game and selling it an awesome price. Brought back a lot of nostalgia.

Don't you just love Steam? It's sales remind you of the great games that you always wanted to play and never got around to it.

Steam is AWESOME!!

Steam is the reason I own so many games I will never play to completion. The forums are extremely helpful if your game doesn't work. I like the Max Payne games but I went with Bully instead since I am tight on money. I made the right choice, Bully is awesome. GTA in a private school as a kid. Sheer awesomesauce.

Replaying Max Payne 1, I'm already almost done with the game. :( By the way, be sure to download the Kung-Fu mod, it's the coolest thing since sliced bread. It's worth playing through the game again, I've never done so much awesome Kung-Fu in a game before.

Definitely. The game is old and it's the gameplay is a little bit dated (MP2 does what MP1 did, except better). The Kung Fu mod really spruces it up and makes it fun. :)

You will not find a better deal than that. Both games are masterful.

I can only think that it was Randy Pitchfork who said 'ohh yes that uhh second Maxwell Pain game is TERRIBLE to play! Oh no don't touch that game! It doesn't even have a cover system little girl! Yes that'll do....now to go back to my **** modelling. People! We need more brown!'

I jumped on that deal like a kid on a trampoline. I've gone through the first Max Payne quite a few times but never played the second until now. Doesn't seem too long though... I've played it for a little under 3 hours and I'm already halfway through Part 3. Oh well, it's still a blast to play. Now roll on Max Payne 3! ^^

Yeah, MP2 is a very short game. But it's still amazing, despite it's short length.
